Perth: NASA’s international space apps challenge is here

April 22, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - April 24, 2016 @ 5:00 pm

For 48-72 hours across the world, problem solvers are invited to be part of NASA’s International Space Apps Challenge, one of the largest hackathons in the universe. Empowered by open data, citizens will collaborate with strangers, colleagues, friends, and family to solve perplexing challenges in new and unexpected ways — from designing an interactive space glove, to natural language processing, to clean water mapping.

Engineers, coders, makers, artists and storytellers are invited to connect over mission-related challenges. The growing Space Apps community represents the core of NASA’s Open Innovation Initiative. Together, they have developed thousands of open-source solutions. Their big ideas had been shaped using data visualizations, hardware, code, design and more!

Pawsey is proudly sponsoring the Perth leg of this event and more details can be found at https://2016.spaceappschallenge.org/locations/perth-australia
