ADACS Hackastron – Postpone until 2018

November 3, 2017 - November 5, 2017

This event has been postponed. More information will be available early next year on ADACS website.

The Hackastron is a free public hackathon taking place from 3rd-5th November 2017. Hosted at Curtin University, this event invites scientists, coders, technologists and enthusiasts from academia and industry to come together to access Astronomy data and work collaboratively with Australian Astronomers.

Over 48 hours, participants will be able to gain access to expertise and the experiences of professionals who routinely use Big Data to tackle real life astronomy challenges. ADACS is currently sourcing challenges from Astronomers across Australia. Once chosen, they will be made available online at www.adacs.org.au on the 23rd October 2017.

If you are interested in attending this event please register via the ADACS Eventbrite page here.

If you are an Astronomer looking to submit a challenge please complete the submission through our webpage here.

Registration will close on the 30th October 17 at 11:30pm.

We hope you join us at this unique and exciting collaborative event.
