The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre

Access and Support

Due to the diverse services the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre offers and various stakeholders involved, there are different methods to access Pawsey services. These are outlined below:

Access to the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre’s supercomputing resources is by application to one of a number of different allocation schemes, which are targeted at different research communities, fields and levels of supercomputing experience. Detailed information is available on the Portal here.
The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre’s Data Team supports researchers with a wide range of outreach activities. Allocations of data storage are subject to our Data Storage and Management Policy. All researchers also need to complete an online application.
Pawsey Supercomputing Centre visualisation equipment can be booked and in some cases borrowed via the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre. For more information, please see the Visualisation page.
Technical services are prioritised based on resource availability and project merit. Contact the Help Desk to be assisted with an application.
The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre provides training courses for researchers. For more information on training in general, please see the Training page. Upcoming courses are provided on the Events calendar.
Pawsey User Forums are held four times a year to discuss user experiences of Pawsey services.

User feedback can cover all aspects of interactions with the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre, including full project lifecycles, allocation management, usage and reporting for various supercomputing, data, cloud and visualisation systems that Pawsey operate.

The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre also hold an annual survey at the conclusion of each year. Click here to read the 2017 annual survey results.
