Pawsey at 2015 Combined Biological Sciences Meeting

The University of Western Australia recently hosted the Combined Biological Sciences Meeting 2015, seeing life scientists meet to discuss key research areas such as food security, frontiers in genetics, cell & developmental biology and ecology, environment and evolution. The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre was proud to support the event, with senior Pawsey supercomputing application specialist Kevin Stratford on hand. Kevin discussed the opportunities researchers have to access Pawsey systems and raised awareness about some of the major bioinformatics activities that have taken place at the Centre. The event also saw a presentation from Pawsey Supercomputing Specialist Chris Bording, who discussed the cloud computing services offered by Pawsey that are of special interest to life scientists.
